Our couples counseling services can help you and your partner improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build a stronger relationship. Whether you are facing challenges related to intimacy, trust, or other issues, our experienced therapists can help you work through them and achieve greater satisfaction in your relationship.
Texas Premarital Couples Counseling Program
This premarital counseling is offered by Mona Ellis as an approved provider for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission via a program called Twogether in Texas. Couples who participate in eight hours of counseling (whether in one session or over multiple days or weeks) receive $60 off their marriage license fees.

Completing a course with an approved Twogether in Texas instructor will reduce your marriage license fee by $60 and waive the 72-hour waiting period.

Mona Ellis is a certified facilitator approved to offer the Twogether in Texas Program.
The 8- hour course features the PREPARE/ENRICH program, proven to enhance relationship skills and satisfaction. It includes a Couples Report, summarizing responses from both partners on key marriage topics.
Couples are encouraged to attend all sessions together to ensure they fully engage in the process and benefit equally.
There may be instances in which your counselor requests to meet with you individually. Your therapist will talk to you about this decision before these meetings.

Certificate Provided at the End of the Course
Is identification required for this course? Yes, each couple must provide legal identification to receive a "certificate of completion," which will be sent to the County Clerk of Courts for marriage license processing.
Does my "Certificate of Completion" have an expiration date?
Yes, it is valid for one year from the completion date. Download your certificate to your device for safekeeping. If you do not get your marriage license before the certificate expires, the County Clerk of Courts may reject your application.

By Texas law, it is required that all licensed course providers offer an 8-hour course that will enrich the lives of couples seeking to marry in the State of Texas.
